In this day and age, there’s no hiding behind poor service. People with negative experiences take to the interwebs in droves to tell the world about their experience. We recognize this and we’re in it to win it, so we work extra hard to make people happy! The reviews below are not manufactured for the purpose of looking good. These are real people with real experiences. We won’t rest on our laurels, but rather push for more positive reviews.
We have been twice now and absolutely love it and are already planning our next family flight! Andy, Derek, and all of the staff have been amazing. They are excellent with both kids and adults, and our 4 year old daughter can’t get enough! The facility is top notch, and they ensure you have a safe and REALLY fun time. You can tell everyone loves what they do, and it more than their job – it is their passion. I would HIGHLY recommend this for kids and families, and they even offer birthday party packages.
Great time well worth the money. Will be going back again and again. The staff here are all great and very patient. A very must for everyone. Thanks paraclete xp for a great time!!!!!!!!
So. Much. Fun. Including my accidental “acrobatics” and giggles. My very patient instructors were AHmazing! Our campers from UNCW Engineering Expectations LOVED the experience! Thanks, guys!
What a great experience! Derek was a fantastic instructor and was wonderful with our whole family. Thanks for a great time, and for putting up with our mid-air catastrophes, fly always, and general chaos!
We can’t wait to come back!
Reserved some flight time here as a birthday present for my husband and we had an awesome experience. My family of 4 did it and Andrew was a fabulous instructor! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and was able to help calm any fears or insecurities we had and kept us safe. We will definitely be back to do it again!
My wife and I came here a day after our wedding for a little fun. We had a blast. We will be returning in the future. Dave was a great instructor.
Absolutely awesome experience! We got the buddy package and my buddy was super nervous.. But we had a blast. Not to mention the staff were so welcoming, assuring, and encouraging. We felt so safe with them! Thanks Manny!
I went here for a birthday party and had a blast! Trying to get a group of friends to come back with me! Everyone was so nice and courteous.
Top notch! Instructor John was awesome! There is nothing like soaring, weightless. Staff was great and I even got to watch some of the pros practicing formations before we flew.
Andrew was my 8 & 10yr olds coach. They loved him & gave them an awesome first time experience. They will definitely be saving their money to go back. Loved the place & staff!
Thanks to PJ for coaching me on how to back fly. I am obviously still learning but I now actually understand what I need to work on. I only had 7 minutes but he made those 7 minutes really count and the coaching was awesome. Between him and Mike maybe one day I’ll be shredding in a Keith Creedy video too.
Had a great experience today with Paraclete Xp SkyVenture. Our instructor Davey was awesome. Super patient with everyone and I would certainly go again. It’s a little different than what you expect but more fun than you think…. then you want to back and try to master it. What a FUN time!
Andrew…you are an amazing coach and mentor! Thanks so much for a wonderful first time adventure for me and my 5 year old great-niece; and also my 2nd timer niece. I felt very safe and informed through the whole process. My only wish is that we had ParacleteXP in Minnesota-with you to guide us! Thanks again for a wonderful time. We will DEFINITELY be back next time when in NC.
I surprised my kids today with a flight. At first they were worried but after they went through the instruction and their 1st flight they had a great time. They smiled for hours after we left. Instructors were very knowledgeable and friendly. This was well worth the drive and cost involved. We will be back. Thank you for being a great place to take kids. Keep up the good work.
Everyone was extremely friendly, fun and helpful! We were from out of town drove three hours and were running late from bad weather we had a group of 10 and they called us to tell us to be careful in the weather and to take our time on arriving. Our instructor was amazing we had 3 three yr olds and he did an amazing job with all of them! I love these ppl and this place we had so much fun and we will definitly be back!!!
This place blew my mind. It was all i could have asked for and more. The staff was very polite and the instructor was spot on. The instructor was very patient and knew what he was doing. One of the best experiences of my life. A ++++
Located in Raeford, just 30 minutes east of downtown Fayetteville, Paraclete XP SkyVenture is currently the US’ largest vertical wind tunnel in terms of size AND power. The tunnel is 16’4″ in diameter and 51′ tall, big enough to accommodate an eight-person free flying team. It has 4 fans at 541 horsepower each to give a great range of air speed for all requirements. They have very clean air-conditioned facilities. You can grab a soda from a vending machine and sit around the wind tunnel on bleachers or bean bags and watch people of all ages and skill levels have the time of their life.
The tunnel has climate control and a re-circulating air system to keep your training comfortable year round. When I was receiving my introductory briefing, I was confused as to why the instructor was so sweaty until I stepped into the wind-tunnel and saw hard they work. I was also shocked to see children, barely old enough to go to school, doing great in the wind tunnel! When the instructors take a minute to show off, you’ll be amazed. That won’t be you on your first visit. You’ll spend your time on your belly working on holding correct body position, trying to stay stationary, doing some basic turns, and learning to get some altitude. We were able to trade off a camera and take pictures of our friends while we waited for our turn to go into the tunnel.
At the end of the introductory tunnel time, the instructor will take you for a wild ride, spinning you around the tunnel and taking you up and down until you’re completely elated. I felt as happy as a dog with his head out the window, including saliva flying out the side of my mouth since I couldn’t stop smiling. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and adapted quickly to help teach all skill levels.
As an experienced skydiver, I was skeptical that the price would be worth the experience compared to skydiving, but the bang is more than worth the buck. For the price, you get more tunnel time than free fall time while skydiving. Wind tunnels are a valuable coaching tool for people looking to improve their free flying skills. They are also an extremely fun experience that people of all ages can do. You have to try this at least once in your life.
This is a must do! If you want to skydive without jumping out of a plane, this is the place to do it. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just plain awesome. I can’t wait to go back for another flight.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The entire staff is extraordinarily professional and gracious. They are extremely safety conscious while at the same time giving everyone as much freedom as they can safely manage. A rare combination. While we (adults) were there, our instructor also suited up and trained a 2 year old boy and a three year old girl. He had amazing patience and tenderness which translated to a satisfying and thrilling experience for everyone in our group from 2 to 72.
This might seem a little pricey, but it is a once in a lifetime kind of thing to do. DO IT! Get the video and the T-Shirt.
This was an excellent experience. I would thoroughly recommend trying it especially as a safe alternative to skydiving (or even as a lead in to skydiving at some later point). The location looks very modern and clean. The people are friendly and patient (especially with beginners) and the price is sensible (and it gets cheaper after you’ve taken a course for beginners on your first visit). The wind tunnel experience is amazing itself. Although as a first timer you spend a bit of time learning to properly control your hovering it is still loads of fun. My biggest issue is that the location was an hour and a half away but it was well worth the time.
On our way to the US Open we passed the indoor skydiving facility. The next day was my husbands 71st birthday and he decided that's what he wanted to do for his birthday. It was for us to do together...., I was apprehensive but far be it for me to spoil his birthday. I read all your reviews and checked their safety first. What a pleasant surprise. I loved it. It is for all ages and better then jumping out of an airplane.... Just plain fun!!!
