Indoor Skydiving For Kids: What Is Youth League?

Monday, June 23, 2025

Kids skydiving indoors isn’t just a one-time thrill; it’s the gateway to something incredible. For children, especially, floating on air can spark curiosity, build confidence, and even plant the seed for a long-term love of flight.

At Paraclete XP, we’ve seen this firsthand. What starts as a single session often turns into a new passion – which is where our Youth League comes in.

Whether your child dreams of flying like a superhero or simply wants to try something new outside of traditional sports, Youth League provides a unique opportunity for them to grow their skills, connect with others, and have a whole lot of fun. When it comes to indoor skydiving, kids have the ability to take it as far as they want!

What Is Paraclete XP’s Youth League?

Paraclete XP’s Youth League is an opportunity for young flyers to explore the exciting world of indoor skydiving in a consistent, skill-building environment. Once a week, we block off an hour exclusively for Youth League participants, giving them a chance to log meaningful flight time with personalized coaching and support.

How much is indoor skydiving for kids? Each Youth League session is $70, which includes as much flight time as can be rotated within the hour among 10 participating kids. That’s a fraction of the cost of buying standard tunnel time and significant value for families with children who are eager to fly again after their first visit!

This isn’t just a glorified playdate in the wind tunnel. The Youth League helps kids progress from tentative first-timers to confident, capable flyers. Some of our Youth League participants have already shown strong potential for national and international competition, while others simply enjoy improving each week.

Whether your child wants to compete one day or just have a blast each week, Youth League is the perfect fit!

A Fresh Take on Youth Sports

We regularly enroll kids in sports because of the benefits: fitness, confidence, goal-setting, teamwork, and structure. Youth League offers all of that, just in a flight suit instead of cleats!

While traditional sports like soccer or football may not suit every child, indoor skydiving offers an alternative indoor sport for kids that’s both mentally and physically engaging. It challenges kids to develop body awareness, coordination, and focus. They work toward goals, overcome obstacles, and learn how to respond to coaching.

And for kids who thrive on solo activities but still want to be part of something bigger, Youth League strikes the perfect balance. While flying is often individual, many Youth League flyers go on to join teams and compete in 2-way and 4-way formation skydiving, one of the most exciting indoor disciplines out there.

It’s not just an activity, indoor skydiving is a sport. One that kids genuinely look forward to every week.

What Are the Benefits?

What makes Youth League different from a regular repeat flyer package? Structure.

  • Kids receive personalized coaching in a low-pressure environment.
  • They work on specific flying skills, building confidence through measurable progress.
  • They experience a unique blend of play and discipline, much like in martial arts or gymnastics.
  • They get the chance to form connections with other young flyers, many of whom become close friends and teammates.

The tunnel becomes a space for learning, growing, and self-expression, and kids take pride in how far they’ve come.

Who Can Join?

Youth League is open to any child between the ages of 3 and 16 who have already completed one of our first-time flyer packages. This means your child gets the most out of the experience by starting with a foundational understanding of how to fly safely and effectively.

There’s no long-term commitment required, come for one week or come back again and again. Some kids treat it like a recurring sport, while others drop in when their schedules allow. The flexibility makes it approachable for busy families!

Can Parents Watch?

Absolutely! Parents, guardians, and cheering squads are more than welcome. Youth League has a supportive sideline vibe, similar to watching your child at a gymnastics meet or swim practice. You’re close enough to see their progression and share in the joy of their experience.

Is Indoor Skydiving Safe for Kids?

This is one of the most common questions we hear, and it’s an important one. While no activity is entirely without risk, kids indoor skydiving is considered low-impact and is supervised at all times by highly trained instructors. Every flyer wears protective gear and is coached through each step of the experience in a controlled environment.

Compared to traditional sports like football or soccer, which often involve physical contact, hard surfaces, and unpredictable movements, indoor skydiving offers a more controlled environment. Statistically, indoor skydiving has a strong safety record, especially when operated by experienced staff using proper procedures and equipment.

If you have questions or specific concerns, our team is always happy to walk you through what to expect before your child takes flight.

My wife and I came here a day after our wedding for a little fun. We had a blast. We will be returning in the future. Dave was a great instructor.
